The Spark
Rachel started her business out of a deep love for nature, sustainability and heritage crafts. She is dedicated to exceptional British design and quality handcraftsmanship.
The brand concept came from Rachel’s desire to develop a lifestyle brand which reflects a simple, relaxed and sustainable way of living; one that is kind to both ourselves and the planet.
Her homewares inspire others to value and connect with nature, encouraging them to embrace the joys and comfort in living simply and compassionately.
Founder Story
Rachel Amanda is a British artist, designer and maker specialising in sustainable art and luxury homewares, using traditional artisan methods to create original wallpapers and handmade ceramic tile feature pieces.
Her work is inspired by the natural landscape, expressed through the subtle colours and textures she uses. Drawing from both historical styles and contemporary geometric forms, her designs create an aesthetic that feels both timeless and modern.
Rachel is fortunate to live in the countryside where she finds a sense of calm that brings her an inner peace. The familiar sight of open fields, gentle birdsong and the delicate scent of wildflowers evoke a quiet nostalgia, reminding her of childhood summers spent with her sister, together wandering through woodland and cycling along country lanes. She also treasures warm memories of family caravan and camping holidays by the coast, building sandcastles and playing in the sea.
A rural upbringing helped foster Rachel’s connection to the natural world. Her parents, both from farming backgrounds, taught her to value and respect traditional skills and handcraftsmanship. She feels their influences have shaped her artistic journey and led to a vision for creating an aesthetic that honours the beauty of nature, heritage and craft.

Carefully Crafted and Beautifully Bespoke
Each tile is individually hand-pressed by Rachel, dried and fettled, before being placed in the kiln to be bisque fired, the first of two firings which ensures durability and longevity. The tiles are painted, glazed and then refired to get the finished product.

Collage Artwork
Rachel crafts her collages using tiny pieces of recycled magazines, conscientiously tearing each one into shape and layering them to create rich shading and depth. By reimagining discarded materials, she enjoys creating new life from what would otherwise be forgotten.

Wallpaper
All wallpapers begin their journey from a pencil drawing, which is transferred onto a piece of artist’s lino. Rachel then meticulously carves out her design using a set of traditional tools, before applying paint and printing the pattern.
