Rooted in Nature: The Story Behind My Sustainable Homewares
What began as a personal love for nature, traditional craftsmanship, and mindful living has grown into a brand built on purpose. Every piece in my collection is thoughtfully designed to reflect a slower, more intentional way of life - one that’s kind to the planet and comforting to the soul.
Join me to discover how nature, sustainability, and heritage shape every handcrafted item I create.
Thoughtful Choices for a Greener Future
All papers begin their journey from a pencil drawing, which is transferred onto a piece of lino. I then carve out my design and choose two colours to produce an original sample. This is then sent to the manufacturer.
Nature and sustainability are two significant inspirations in my work, so it felt important to honour these in the way my wallpapers are produced. The Eco-fast digital printing method used for production, significantly reduces both carbon footprint and waste by minimising energy and water consumption. Through highly sensitive scanning and colour separation techniques, great care is taken to ensure my original artwork is represented faithfully, allowing me to preserve the essence of traditional handcraftsmanship.
My papers are printed using environmentally conscious water-based inks and FSC certified paper from replenished forests.
Clay: A Timeless and Sustainable Material
Clay is a naturally abundant and non-toxic material, making it a more sustainable option than synthetic alternatives such as plastics. Minimal waste is generated during the production process since clay can be re-used up until it is fired. Ceramics are extremely durable and can endure for centuries as long as they remain unbroken. This longevity reduces the need for frequent replacements, thereby conserving resources over time. While ceramics cannot be easily recycled by conventional means, their durability makes them suitable for reuse and repurposing in various ways.
I take great pride in the craftsmanship behind my tiles. Each one is hand-pressed, possessing unique characteristics that give it an artisanal quality no commercially produced tile can replicate.
Art to Promote Environmental Awareness
By using old, discarded magazines to create collages, I express my commitment to recycling and sustainability. Each piece becomes a small act of environmental preservation, reducing the need for new materials and helping to minimise landfill waste. Through this creative process, I hope to inspire others to value and protect the natural world—and to see beauty and possibility in what might otherwise be thrown away.
